Advance your knowledge to help your students explore career opportunities in the areas of Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, and AI/Computer Science/Immersive Technology

At the Ohio Teacher Bootcamp, you will earn graduate credit while gaining hands-on experience in high-demand industries – at no cost to you.

Choose from one of three tracks:
Healthcare Track
Healthcare professions exploration through hands-on learning and observation will provide teachers an in-depth understanding of each profession and its contribution to health and healthcare. Teachers will gain appreciation of individual and population health, and how healthcare professions contribute to improving micro and macro health outcomes.
The activities will be designed to provide a foundation of an understanding of the healthcare industry and the types of opportunities within the sector, as well as educational pathways that lead to careers in healthcare. Industry Partners for the Healthcare Track include Southern Ohio Medical Center and Adena Health System.
Advanced Manufacturing Track
Exploration of Advanced Manufacturing through hands-on learning and observation will provide teachers with an in-depth understanding of the professions in advanced manufacturing and their contributions to the industry. Teachers will gain an appreciation and understanding of the operations of advanced manufacturing, as well as the current trends and technologies used in the production of goods.
The activities will be designed to provide a foundation for understanding advanced manufacturing and industry, including types of opportunities within the sector and educational pathways that lead to careers in advanced manufacturing. Activities will include hands-on demonstrations and engagement with industry partners.
Computer Science Track
Exploration of Computer Sciences, AI, and Immersive Technology through hands-on learning and observation will provide teachers with an in-depth understanding of the professions in computing and their contributions to business and industry. Teachers will gain an appreciation and understanding of the applications of computing and some of the different disciplines within the field of computing. Additionally, participants will gain exposure to the current trends and technologies used in these computing applications.
The activities will be designed to provide a foundation for understanding theoretical and applied computing, including types of opportunities within the sector and educational pathways that lead to careers in computing. Activities will include applied activities, demonstrations and engagement with business and industry partners.
