Specialized Professional Association Standards (SPA)

Shawnee State's Intervention Specialist Program adheres to the (SPA) established by (CEC). 

Licensure Testing

Prior to student teaching, candidates must pass the special education content exam in their licensure area (). Prior to being recommended for licensure, intervention specialists must also pass , and .

The passing score for all licensure examinations is 220. 

Note: Not all testing sites are equipped to provide alternative testing arrangements. If you are entitled to testing accommodations, it is highly recommended that you register early (at least 3 weeks). For more information, contact the Accessibility Services Coordinator, phone (740) 351-3106.
