I was inspired to go to school at Shawnee State because of the facilities, and the athletic director was easy to communicate with and made the process very easy, he said.

On choosing his major, Goodwin felt drawn to the Information Security program because of the number of career opportunities in that field in his home country. While navigating his coursework and busy athletic schedule, hes been able to take advantage of the many student services that allow students to further their academic success like the Student Success Center, Dayton duMeleau Math Success Center, and Writing Center, among many others.

There are a lot more resources available to learn, he said.

Goodwin has enjoyed being able to get to know the SSU campus well thanks to its smaller class sizes and the welcoming environment hes found among the students and staff. He is looking forward to be able to continue preparing for his future career while also pursuing his athletic goals at SSU.

The Center for International Programs & Study Abroad (CIPSA) at SSU provides the campus community with the opportunity to appreciate different values and cultures from around the world. CIPSA and its staff helps current international students to fully participate in their college experience, coordinating campus services and programming that enhances their social and academic success.
